Amazing service, efficient, reliable and most of all...stress free. Dani, you are a star, thank you so much for sorting my new policies. A very different and better experience to that had with my previous Broker. Keep up the great work.
Danielle has been an absolute blessing for us. She reached out to me after seeing a disheartened and desperate comment by me in an online group. We had desperately been searching for coverage for our dream property in Tasmania - two other brokers (including a huge company with offices all over the country) had exhausted their options and not been able to help, and settlement was looming. Danielle was professional but also very friendly, warm and reassuring during my stressing out, and I knew she was going above and beyond to get this done! She kept me in the loop every step of the way...and succeeded in getting us a policy within a matter of days! I am so, so grateful, and cannot recommend her highly enough! She is amazing at what she does and is a genuinely wonderful human too!
It was so refreshing to have someone take the time to explain the important clauses of the professional indemnity insurance. The customisation was really good. Would highly recommend.
Danielle at SOL Insurance is amazing! Was a huge support during a really busy time when our insurances had lapsed and another broker hadn’t found a suitable alternative. Dani kept on top of things and acted fast to get us cover, and with a solid price point compared to what I had found with my own enquiries. Will absolutely use Dani again having come highly recommended to us, and I’d gladly recommend SOL insurance to others.
Danielle is fantastic. Very efficient and she got me an excellent quote/insurance. I highly recommend her, if you are like me a small business that has to cover insurance.

When you place licensed tradespeople with host businesses, you carry risks a general staffing agency may not. Your workers may be wiring switchboards, working near live circuits, or installing plumbing and mechanical services on sites you never see, under supervision you don’t control. Hosts and principal contractors will often expect you to hold specific insurance limits and to confirm that every worker you place holds a current trade licence. Sol Insurance Brokers can help you explore cover options built around how trades labour hire actually works.

Important: The information provided on this page is general in nature and does not take into account your individual circumstances. Insurance cover, terms, conditions and exclusions vary between insurers and policies. Your insurance requirements will depend on your business activities, contracts, assets and individual circumstances. Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT operate labour hire licensing schemes, and providing or using unlicensed labour hire in these states can carry significant penalties. New South Wales, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania do not currently have a comprehensive scheme, though requirements are updated periodically. Check the current rules with the relevant state regulator before placing or accepting workers. Separately, each tradesperson you place generally needs their own current trade licence, such as an electrical or plumbing licence, for the work they perform.
As the legal employer, a labour hire provider is generally responsible for workers compensation, even though the host business directs the work. Public liability and workers compensation can both be relevant, and responsibility can depend on the specific circumstances of the incident and the arrangement with the host.
Often, yes. Hosts and principal contractors commonly ask labour hire providers for a certificate of currency and may set minimum limits, such as $10 million or $20 million public liability. Some contracts also include indemnity clauses. Send us the contract before you sign and we can go through the insurance requirements with you.
Even small labour hire providers employ staff and operate under state licensing obligations, which can give rise to employment disputes or regulatory investigations. Management liability can help cover the costs of defending these, and can be relevant regardless of business size.
Professional indemnity is designed to respond to claims for financial loss arising from an error in your labour supply process, such as inadequate verification of a worker’s licence or qualification, subject to policy terms. It does not replace your obligation to hold a required labour hire licence yourself.
