I cannot recommend Danielle/Sol enough. After 5+ years with another broker, I changed to Sol this year and it was a great decision. Super responsive (which was a major pain point with my prior broker), open to digging deeper for a better suited policy and price and just all round helpful and efficient! Thanks so much!

Highly recommend Danielle for insurance purposes. Professional, seamless and no pressure from her in comparison to the larger companies who constantly ring about their quotes. Gives you time to think and work out your best options.
Danielle is friendly but prompt and stays focused on the request at hand. Recommend using Danielle for a personal, 1-1 experience without the pressure and judgements.

Auto electrical work carries real consequences when something goes wrong: a wiring fault, a battery or alternator issue, or damage caused while diagnosing or repairing a vehicle’s electrical systems. Whether you’re a mobile auto electrician working from a service van or running a workshop fitting out fleet vehicles, Sol Insurance Brokers can help you explore cover options that reflect the risk you actually carry.

Frequently asked questions

I'm a licensed auto electrician doing diagnostics. Do I need professional indemnity as well as public liability?

Professional indemnity may be relevant if you’re signing off on diagnostics, certification or advisory work, since it responds to a different kind of claim, one based on advice or diagnosis rather than physical damage. We can talk through whether it makes sense for your work mix.

Tools, equipment and plant cover can include theft and accidental damage, often including tools kept in a locked vehicle. Conditions such as security requirements may apply, so we’ll confirm the exact terms for how you store and transport your gear, subject to policy terms.

Subcontracted work can generally be considered when structuring your cover. Let us know the dealership’s, fleet operator’s or repairer’s insurance requirements and we’ll help you arrange appropriate documentation where your policy responds.

Public and products liability can respond to claims for property damage arising from your work, including damage that shows up after the job is finished, such as a fire caused by faulty wiring, subject to policy terms.

It can. Supplying and installing auto electrical components or accessories creates additional contractual and liability considerations, including products liability exposure. Tell us what you supply and we’ll make sure it’s considered in your cover.

It may be relevant where you’re responsible for an installation in progress, such as a major rewiring or accessory fit-out. Contract works can protect eligible work against insured events such as theft, fire, storm and accidental damage, subject to policy terms.
